Research Participation Notice

Effective October 28, 2026. This policy applies to FreeSIM services that are actually available. Publication does not announce a service launch or establish that technical controls have passed verification.

1. The activity

The EQ Company uses FreeSIM tasks to study and evaluate AI systems. A task may ask you to inspect material and compare two results using a stated question. Read the question rather than assuming that every task asks which result matches a prompt. Some comparisons are subjective.

Adult participants aged 18 or older may participate if the study's eligibility requirements are met. The study may use a human check, inspection steps and quality controls. Task availability, acceptance and earnings are not guaranteed.

2. Participation and reward

The standard reward policy is 25 MB per accepted eligible task; the applicable offer must be shown before you start. The applicable offer and any caps or differences must be shown before you start. Submission receipt and reward approval are distinct. Confirmed eligible MB can be used toward supported plans under the reward terms; they are not wages or cash merely because they are displayed as a balance. This wording does not determine your legal classification or waive local compensation rights.

You can stop after a comparison. Declining the study means you cannot submit its research tasks. You can still reach account-deletion and privacy channels. Browsing and buying plans do not require joining research.

3. Recorded information

According to the enabled study policy, records can include your profile/country/age and other disclosed demographics; answers and changes; task-specific text edits; task taps, inspection, zoom, pan, scroll, timing and interruptions; and available device, display, language and network context. We do not use the task collector to record unrelated apps or the content of sign-in, support, Settings or checkout screens.

A human check may process a drawing and recognized text to verify a submission. If you separately opt in through the unchecked research-retention choice, the drawing, recognized OCR text and related stroke/clear history may be selected for the AI research uses below and kept for up to 36 months from collection, subject to earlier applicable deletion and shorter requirements. Declining does not prevent the human check, reduce earning access or authorize keeping those materials as a research dataset. Necessary verification outcomes and technical metadata may still be processed as disclosed.

Optional country suggestion uses foreground location through the operating system. You can choose a country manually. Background location is not part of this feature and coordinates are not stored in your participant profile through the suggestion flow.

4. Use, recipients and risks

Your task responses and related task activity may be selected to train, evaluate, and improve AI systems. Selected research data may be shared with our customers for these purposes.

We also process disclosed information for task-quality assessment and secure reward administration. The study's data/recipient schedule identifies the actual fields, recipients and permitted uses, including any third-party AI sharing and applicable permission. This wording does not authorize undisclosed data collection or unrestricted onward sharing.

Customer research deliveries exclude names, emails, phone numbers, account/payment identifiers and precise location, including such identifiers inside task text or OCR/drawings. Approved task data and disclosed optional demographics may use a project-specific research identifier where needed; that does not by itself make the records anonymous. A customer delivery must not proceed under this notice until these controls and the recipient obligations are verified.

Potential risks include exposure to imperfect or unexpected task material, frustration with quality checks and confidentiality risks if information is improperly disclosed. Do not enter secrets or information about another person. Report unsuitable tasks through the provided reporting/support route. We do not promise a personal benefit beyond any eligible reward under the stated offer.

5. Retention, withdrawal and deletion

We retain participant-linked task responses and related task activity for up to 36 months from collection, only while needed for the disclosed purposes. Records may be deleted earlier, including unsuitable or unnecessary records and records subject to an applicable deletion request. This is a maximum, not a minimum retention period. An optional-retention choice or applicable shorter requirement can further limit retention. Account, transaction, support and backup categories require their own approved schedules; the 36-month research maximum does not authorize blanket retention of all account information.

Contact support@eq.company to ask to withdraw consent or exercise your rights. Stopping work or changing an optional-retention toggle is not confirmation that previous records were removed. The 36-month maximum and earlier-deletion requirements are policy limits. Technical expiry and complete erasure have not yet been verified across all systems; this notice does not certify that a particular record has been erased.

The selected account-deletion policy is erasure of participant-linked research data and associated personal information, with only legally required records kept for their required period/purpose. Copies, processors, releases and backups require appropriate deletion/restoration controls. Erasure completion must be verified across the relevant systems before it is confirmed to you.

6. Your decision and contact

Only an explicit acceptance records participation consent; reading or closing this notice does not accept it. The optional drawing-retention choice is separate. New purposes or material changes require the applicable notice and permission.
